It is a new year and we all can do our best to make 2019 a year to remember. We put away our Christmas decorations for another year. We started to use all the wonderful gifts that Santa brought us. Now we need to see what we can do to make 2019 a better year.
Can we have a difference of opinion and still respect the other opinion?
Do we follow in blind faith that our tax dollars are managed in the best way possible?
Are our schools producing an education that our children can compete in today’s working world?
Are our children safe in school?
While none of the above deal with the high cost of insurance, they all have one thing in common. Our mental stress works to produce our physical wellbeing.
Why can’t we do as Albert Einstein did when he said “I speak to everyone in the same way, whether he is the garbage man or the president of the university.”
It bothers me that today’s level of tension for political discussion has reached such high levels of bitterness. When I had my cancer surgery 13 years ago, I was so happy that the Doctor said he could help me. I never once asked him if he was a Democrat or Republican. This year let’s try to talk with each other instead of at each other.
Here’s my best advice. Reduce stress by controlling what you can and then work on the things in your life that are important.
